If you are running AOKP or Bricked, CN or CherryKang, you might want to test this and report back what you find. I can't speak to any other rom or kernel other than CM9. You might want to turn off wifi to allow your TP to charge faster. If you need to charge your TP while in Android, leave it on, plug it in and tap the power button to put it to sleep. I have tested this many times on mine and several friends TP's and it happens every time. I can't say that this is the perfect solution to every issue, but I have put 2+2 together and found that what I am about to describe is repeatable.ĭO NOT turn your TouchPad off and then plug it in to charge! Here is what will most likely happen, plugging it will start it back up and unless you have Moboot set to boot to WebOS, your TP will boot into CM9 and will not charge.

They claimed that by installing Android, I had irreversibly destroyed the hardware of the TouchPad and it would cost $230+ to fix. until they found out that I installed Android on my device. No surprise, they didn't know what was going on and told me to ship my TouchPad in. I finally gave up and decided to give HP a call. I tried pressing a bunch of button combinations to reset it, plugging in the computer and tried to run WebOS doctor, made sure it wasn't my charger by locking the the prongs, etc, etc, etc. I left it charged for a week and still nothing. The screen is blank and the charger is cold, indicating that it is not charging. However, my battery drained a couple weeks ago and I have had NO success in reviving it. I installed CM9 Tenderloin nightlies on my TouchPad and I loved it.
